In my defense...
If you've read the second comment on my last post I must come to my own defense, cause really who will, if I don't!
A-Pop has recounted in every gory detail of the incident just how crazy I am for things in order when I set my mind to it. I've copy and pasted the comment for your ease of finding it. She nailed it! That's exactly how it went down...so read! i wound up laughing so hard I cried (I laughed, I cried, it was a good flick!)
(START OF COMMENT)
I read the entire post, but I'm still stuck on you putting the magazine's in date order. And, sorry, but I have to tell the story.
Around this time 3 years ago when I was practically living at the F residence, I woke on a Saturday morning to a particular and familiar sound of plastic jewel cases clanging together. Woobie and I sleepily shuffled out of the bedroom to see PF in front of the entertainment center with roughly 20 piles of CD's -- all in their respective cases -- stacked around her in a fort-like fashion. She peered up at me with a look of guilt and when I asked what she was doing, she hung her head and mumbled.
"What?" I asked again.
"I'm alfmummblemumble."
"One more time."
"I'm ALPHABETIZING, OKAY?"
"You're alphabetizing."
"Yes."
"At 7:15."
"Yes."
"A FUCKING M."
"Yes."
"On a Saturday?"
"YES!"
"And I'm FRIENDS WITH YOU??"
And she explained that while looking for a particular Christmas CD that was required to be played during the wrapping of purchased holiday gifts, she was plagued by the disorganization of the cabinet. I need not explain further.
And no. I didn't help. Me and the dog were too busy laughing.
Back then, the excuse of pregnancy was invalid. With child or not, magazines will be filed by date, CD's by artists last name, and moving boxes will be color coordinated by room, numbered, and labeled by contents.
It's why we love her, people. It's just why we love her. (END OF COMMENT HERE)
We seriously can't make this stuff up. It really did happen. Yeah, sure, I could deny it, I could deny knowing this person who posted the comment altogether (but I so wouldn't cause I need my A-Pop - if for no other reason but to keep me in check on just such an occasion as this one!).
I really did alphabetize all my CDs. She came out of the room at 7:15 a.m. which means I easily started my little project at least an hour prior to being caught red handed!
And really, in my defense...who doesn't want their CDs alphabetized? I mean, we've all been there, we scan over and over and over again looking for the CD we want when they are out of order and by half way through the second scan you want to use each jewel case CD holder as a Japanese Star to cause harm to the creators of those damn things in the first place. I had to put them in order, it just had to be done. And I really did label my moving boxes by a long list and numbered and cataloged each and every one of them. But nothing got lost, except come to think of it, sadly my Pampered Chef bread knife and carving set never did make it to the other side of the move :-(!!! I think it made it to the new house, but was thrown out in a random box or something.
Come to think of it, my CDs have since moved and have since jumped out of order again. Anyone wanna help put them back in alphabetical order. I'm thinking that's a project I should add to the list of things I should do before the baby comes and I no longer have time to be the anal "everything must be in balance" Libra I am. Shutter the thought! Should I mention that my filing cabinet is full of folders of which I fill with past bills and the folders are in alphabetical order (don't worry, the bills aren't in date order) by vendor name. That's a project and a half filing the bills away in the folders (for that just in case moment I need to reference one of them).
Now you know my little secret, do you still love me?
