Short tales...

The following are just a bunch of short tales (instead of my dang long winded usual novels I produce on one single subject) I need to tell you about but shouldn't post as separate blogs so you don't miss any of them. There's the title and then the blurb about it. Read on...

Hawaii...

I'm having a hard time working up the energy to blog about Hawaii. How do I sum up 2 weeks in Hawaii? I can't seem to figure out where to start to blog about Hawaii and I can't find the time since work has been so busy since I've been back and will slow down next week or the week after. I'll get to it...at some point. Just go look at the pix again and shush!

Ceiling fan...

This morning I had to go down stairs to get my pants out of the dryer and decided to treat the cat to a morning upstairs with me (shhhhh...don't tell hubbie). I put her on the bed and she was mezmorized by the ceiling fan...as in couldn't take her eyes off it. What is she, a baby? Babies are mezmorized by ceiling fans, I know this from experience, I've put many a baby to sleep while rocking the baby in my arms and them dozing off to lala land by watching the ceiling fan. But Keoki just stared at it, eyes wide...as if it were a turkey vulture ready to swoop down and grab her by the whiskers. Then...I turned it on...and her gaze was even more intense. Crazy, but funny.

Shower...crash...bang...rolllllll...

So the cat having very little experience exploring the upstairs, was all into everything this morning. I went into the shower and about 3/4's of the way through my shower I hear...crash...bang...rolllllllllll!!!! I thought for sure before that she had gone back downstairs and hurled herself up and over the gate at the bottom of the stairs but no. I got out of the shower, dried off, opened the door and apparently the stupid fat cat tried to jump her fat ass up on the little book shelf but didn't have quite enough umph! and crashed to the floor...took off down the stairs...and knocked down my snail shells, hence the rolllllll-ing I heard at the end of the crash and bang part of the incident.

Finally...

I am finally looking pregnant at 7 months. And feeling pregnant too. If it weren't for TMI, I'd tell you about the most intimate of details but really, I think you'd rather be spared the details. But as for the G rated reasons, I seriously go to work in the morning, just make it through the day...ride the the train, drive my car home, eat dinner and go to sleep. At the end of the day I'm fried and done.

The current stats...

As of this past Monday I am 30 weeks pregnant and really at this point if I'm just starting to have minor complaints...I'm considering myself one of the lucky ones. Essentially here are the details:

- Day # 213 of pregnancy
- 30 weeks 2 days pregnant
- 67 days to go to estimated due date
- 75% of the way there
- baby's age since conception is 199 days
- or 28 weeks

Babies 'R' Us...

Evil...the place is pure evil. Hubbie was good enough to come with his pregnant wife (me!) to Babies 'R' Us and Target last weekend to register. The babies r us we went to first on Saturday was so small and barely had anything. I really wanted to get the car seat, but apparently that was asking too much...they didn't have it. We registered for some stuff and moved on to Target...who also didn't have the seat. But I did buy breast pads just in case the suckers decide to start leaking in the last 2 months of pregnancy (had a little bit of a leaking incident in Hawaii while taking a nap) and a small package of newborn diapers just to have just in case. I like to be prepared...you know me! We hit the big Babies 'R' Us super store on Sunday morning..who also by the way did not have the infant car seat. And apparently no one in that store had half a brain either because one associate after another was dumber than the last and we didn't accomplish much of anything we set out to do even after the long drive to get there. After leaving Babies 'R' Us we went across the street to Buy Buy Baby which is a tad more expensive than BrUs, and yes apparently I am a glutton for punishment...they didn't have the seat either, but could get it from another store in the area. I passed on that option until yesterday when I finally called BrUs to see if they got a shipment at which point the store manager said, "we have 2 coming in on a truck at some point" OH BOY...Who will you sell all 2 seats to!!!!! Grrrr...So I called Buy Buy Baby and finally just gave in, let them have the seat transferred from the other store and I'll have it in less than 2 weeks...fine, I can wait 2 weeks.

Thanksgiving...

I can't wait for Thanksgiving. It's going to be small and quiet and it's my favorite holiday and one of my best friends will be joining our family again this year (Yay ES!) and it's going to be a day of parade, dog show, football and eating (FOR TWO! no less). And to boot, I have the following day off from work (4-1/2 day weekend baby!!!!!) WOOHOO!!!!

Happy Birthday...

Shout out to friends with birthdays this month... Happy Birthday ABPL in Maine this past Tuesday. I remember to call and I'm sending your present TODAY!

New Computer...

Good thing hubbie doesn't have a computer at home, cause I've gone the past 2 days without telling him (AND DON'T YOU TELL HIM)...but I bought us a computer as our Christmas presents to one another this week. He knew it was in the works and we had talked about it. It's not like how he bought that rifle, the weed whacker or the 2 shirts in Hawaii without telling me first. Okay the two shirts...no biggie, but still not over the rifle or the weed whacker. Whatever!!! I purchased an iMac (thanks for the tips and buyers help - HAJ!) with the company discount and I am so excited to get it. The computer doesn't have a CPU, it's all inside the monitor and will take up so much less room!!! We'll finally upgrade our cable package to the triple play and get the phone, internet and cable on ONE bill!!! Until now, I've only had my laptop at home and used dial up...WELCOME TO THE 21st CENTURY!!!! I know...it's crazy! I had it shipped to our house. And I'm waiting for that phone call from hubbie when he gets home from work one day soon and sees the box there. So here's where the typical Murphy's Law comes into play and don't you know they shipped the printer before they shipped the computer so the printer will get on our doorstep before the actual computer. Argh!!! Oh well. I'm not surprised.

I think that's about it for now! And one more thing...I love my hubbie...he's so good to me and been a champ through the pregnancy.
