Note to self...

Pump BEFORE going to the physical therapist the next time!!! Laying face down on a table and experiencing "let down" in the milk production phase...NOT SO MUCH!

Top Ten signs that didn't make the cut...

So I thought I was in heaven today. Nice maintenance guy led me to hat I thought would be my new home for pumping. He led me down a hallway...secluded from the rest of the office...no desks right outside the door...no crap littering the room...would've just been me, the pump, a chair and a bookshelf...who wouldn't want seclusion from coworkers for a 1/2 hour out of the day? Well then...I asked if there was any way to move the book shelf from that side of the room to this side of the room where the outlet is. As he sized up the bookshelf, determining whether or not it could be done, he looked up above the book shelf and lo' & behold was a camera in the ceiling...you know...one of those ones that lives in a bubble and rotates every which way but directly upwards. So that room was a serendipitous dream while it lasted...and then the nice maintenance guy led me to the other room. On the way he asked me if I had my sign...to which I replied, "yes, it's in the room waiting for me".

So here is the Top Ten rejected signs...

10. If you open the door I'll have to contact HR on you!

9. Milking the udders...signed Moo!

8. You get cigarette and coffee breaks, I get milk production breaks!

7. Keep back 200 ft.

6. Warning...contents under extreme pressure!

5. Chocolate milk on tap today, come back tomorrow for strawberry!

4. Mount Vesuvius has nothing on me!

3. Hopefully 10 more months of this...at the very least!

2. There is no half full or half empty when it comes to pumping...I gotta pump NOW!

And the #1 sign that was rejected...

1. Percolating in progress...Goggles are required beyond this point!

Moving right along...

I will not even acknowledge the reason why I've done what I've done because I won't give the satisfaction that it was disruptive to my life...which it hasn't but I also don't have to put up with what happened so therefore...If you'd like to leave a comment on my blog you need to either (1) have a google email account (gmail) and sign in OR get one so that I know who is leaving comments on my blog. And if you're a friend or family member and want to comment about my blog just send me an email to make a comment if you don't want to get a gmail account. I like emails, I just don't like comments from anonymous people who say rude things...so go away creep and find another blog to practice your squirmy dirt bug commenting ways. Good bye internet slug!

A little privacy please...

I was emailed last Thursday saying that upon the day of my arrival back to work (today), I would need to be in on a conference call at 11:30 a.m. Okay, no problem...it would take my mind off my sweet baby daughter!!! Well it didn't, all I could think about was her. This is how the information I as hearing was perceived in my brain...

Person speaking on the other end of the phone: the shipping information which we need to include (how cute my daughter is in this picture) needs to have the full account (I sure wish I were home with her right now) blah blah blah blah blah (hmmmm I wonder how hubbie is doing with her) blah blah blah blah blah (I wonder how many times she's eaten) blah blah blah blah blah (I've held off so long calling to check in, I think I'm entitled to a call now but dang I'm on this stinking conference call) blah blah blah blah blah (hmmm...I really need to pump) blah blah blah blah blah (wow, I really really need to pump)...this went on for about an hour. You've been spared allll my minds wanderings throughout that hour and 15 minute phone call.

I was finally able to go and pump. So I met the guy from maintenance who had to let me in the storage room (we'll be working out the logistics as we go along so I don't have to have him let me in...it's already in the works). I got set up in the far end of the room which resembles the size of a walk in closet and then searched for an outlet which happened to be on the other side of the room ... NEAR THE DOOR!!! **sigh** So I set up shop over near the outlet. I get all set up, sit down, hook up the udders and turn on the pump and not 2 minutes later I hear the jingling of keys in the door knob!!!! DANG IT!!!! The first thing that spilled out of my mouth was "OH MY GOD...don't come in!!!" To which the door hesitates the opening motion and I hear an unsure..."Oh, sorry!" and the door slowly closes. (I knew there was a reason I made sure when I set my chair up that the back was facing the door.)

Now all sorts of things went through my head and I won't elaborate too much, but I will say I hate to think what that girl thought I was doing in the storage closet! Eeeeesh! So embarrassing! I made sure I told the girl who has the desk right outside the closet what it was I was actually doing and if anyone enters that closet today to tell them I was sorry and what my story was. Oh well. I live and learn. In just a few minutes I will be going with the maintenance guy to check out another room I can use that needs me to have my company ID to have the capabilities to enter the room by swiping my card. Perhaps this will work out better. And I've already begun to think of what my sign will say that I will post on the door when I am occupying the room. Be sure to come back tomorrow as I feel a top ten list coming on. Perhaps something like the "Top ten list of rejected signs!"

For now I forge ahead and the boss told me I could leave early ... without me even asking ... how cool is that!

One more outfit that was not represented...

I walked out my front door this morning...and Happy belated St. Ptrick's Day!!!

...and the tears froze to my cheeks!

Why...you might ask?

Because I am back to work today...so sad...I just want to be home cuddling with Li'l Foot. Is that so much to ask? **sigh**

I mean really...who would want to leave this little face...

She's just too cute...and I'm not really all that biased as you may think...ok perhaps a little!

So, today is Cassie's first day home with daddy. She and daddy will have the next two weeks to bond before she starts daycare at which point I get to go through this whole emotional roller coaster again.

Here are some more pics for your viewing pleasure... Enjoy...

The toes are soooo tickly...

Top of the mornin' to ya wave...
