Moving on...
I am so excited!!! You have no idea.
I mentioned to my friend that I really couldn't stand the template choices blogger sets up for the background of blogs. They're dull and boring and while everyone and their mother (literally) has better blogs than I do, I felt I needed to spice things up and make things more interesting. I wanted an identity all my own. Something that truly represents what this Li'l Foot blog is all about...well...Li'l Foot...and anything and everything having to do with our adventures with her.
So I asked for some help in making things for Li'l Foot's site more fun and Li'l Footesque!!!
So, Pocklock ran with it, literally. I sent her a few pictures to choose from. Sporadically she would instant message me and ask me what look I was going for, how would I like it set up, etc. etc. etc. Which is the point I basically said, just do whatever, I'm easy and i'll love it, no matter what so just go with it, have at it!!!!!
And so she did...
And all I could picture was a pit crew at a NASCAR race and the sounds of the thing that takes the nuts off the tires (you know the one that goes vvvvvrrrrrttttt....vvvvrfrrrrtttttt!!!).
And not only that, but she enlisted the expertise of this super cool awesome technologically savvy Dizzle to help with the construction. And they both totally rocked and kicked butt. I HEART them both...because you've made me look like I actually know what I'm doing now. Hmmm...maybe next year I can go to the "Blogher" conference and pretend I know something about blogging (Pocklock and I have already talked about it and decided we have to go so I just under a year to get my blogging butt up to par).
And the voila, just like that...my pit crew produced a masterpiece and sqqquuuuueeeeeeee..I'm thrilled with the new site. Pocklock unveiled it to me just a few hours ago and I screamed with excitement. It's awesome.
And so without further ado...
I present to you...
The new...
The improved...
Tales of Li'l Foot blog!!!
There may just be a post waiting for you there!!!
So pull up a chair. Make yourself comfy. And for goodness sake make sure you bookmark the new blog web address (mom, that means you too!!!!).

ABC's of Me!!!
Admiring: Hubbie for embracing his role as daddy and doing a great job one on one with Li'l Foot
Beating myself up about: Having no confidence in myself lately.
Crying over: The thought of not having my childhood home to go to anymore.
Daydreaming about: Going back to my childhood home 10 or 15 years from now to visit it and bring back all the memories I had there.
Excited because: I get to spend 4 whole days with Li'l Foot and hubbie this weekend.
Frustrated because: I need to make an important change and I am trying to muster the confidence to do it.
Grumpy because: I need a vacation.
Hate-filled and seething over: (I don't get hate filled very often and when I do I don't blog about it because the subject matter could get me in trouble so I'm leaving this one blank).
Ignoring: the spam that comes into my inbox.
Just shoot me now because: The next couple months could bring change that I need to embrace and adjust to.
Kidding myself: That Li'l Foot will be this small forever.
Listening to: The country station on Sirius.
Mooning over: The hug that hubbie gave me at 4:15 this morning as I walked out of Li'l Foot's room with her cranky butt in my arms as if to say, "It's ok, you are a good mom!"
Need: New earphones for my iPod and a telephoto & a wide angle lens for my digital camera so I can take better pictures of Li'l Foot.
Obsessing over: A memorial program I'm putting together for someone.
Praying: I make the right choices in my life.
Questioning: If I'm the same person I used to be.
Reading: The Nanny Diaries.
Singing: Oh, I like to eat clams 2 atta time, 2 little clams atta time...2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 right on down the line...
Trying: To get through today so I can have 4 days in a row off.
Unnerved by: Some peoples lack of responsibility and abundance of selfishness.
Vacation plans: None, I suck!
Wondering: Why the woman on the train wreaked of perfume and I couldn't take it so I had to get up and stand so as not to inhale her.
X-rated action: HA...None!
Yawning over: The hour and a half long middle of the night "I'm awake mom" time period last night.
Zoinks: I've had this post in draft mode since April 4th and have just finished it now/today.

Silver...
When I was in art class in high school, We had a project to write out a quote in calligraphy. The quote I chose to write was, "The only thing you should expect on a silver platter is tarnish." I've never expected anything on a silver platter in my life so it was fitting. I'm not quite sure why I chose it, but I did, and it suits me and my personality.
Apparently the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
This past Sunday, I was at mom's house again. What, might you ask, was I doing there? Duh...packing...have you not been reading my blog recently, that's how I spend my free time, it's sort of a hobby at this point. So anyway, I had Li'l Foot with me. It was getting to be about lunch time and because I had waited too long, I couldn't put her down or she'd start to have a fit, so we went to the kitchen. I fixed her some homemade apples & pears food with baby oatmeal. And then I proceeded to feed her. With the only baby sized spoon I could find. Mine. From my mom's silverware set. With my initials on it. I cleaned it first of course. I polished it with silver polish, and then cleaned it with water and soap and a sponge to make sure no silver polish was left behind. And there wasn't, because I did the sniffer test. Where I had previously smelled tarnish, and then smelled the polish and then smelled the soap, there was nothing, just the smell of nothing. It was super clean.
I proceeded to feed her spoonful by spoonful, shoving it in her boca, bite after bite. We were about 3 or 4 spoon fulls from being finished, when she started to fuss. I didn't think much of it until she started to make really weird heaving motions with her body. And then Niagara Falls broke the dam and there was a waterfall of food streaming out of her mouth, onto the counter and then the floor. **Sigh** Now I'm sure that there was a bubble in the depths of her tummy that went awry, but I'm telling myself that she just is not a silver spoon kind of girl. Some day the material things in life just won't be important to her, in fact she will perhaps resist them just as she resisted being fed with a silver spoon.
But really, you had to see this stream of food that came up and out of her mouth. It was a sight and it sure did stink. Ick!
